hello everyone!! i am i 3rd yr mbbs student.i've been going through the topics and have come to understand that that 3 to 4 months r enough for preparing for GRE
.i have a few questions!!
1) for how much time is the GRE
score valid??
2) i still have about 2 yrs before i give my GRE
, so how can i orient myself with the exam pattern?? also what books should i read??

GRE
score is valid for 5 years.
2 years is alot for GRE
. I suggest you put 3-4 months in GRE
, rest spend it on USMLE
, if you wish to give the USMLE
exam.
for orientation of the pattern, please visit the official website on GRE
, which is ets.org
GRE
contains quantitaive section, vocab section and Analytical section. Accordingly these 3 sections has some subsections. Go through the website to know more.

well honestly i guess it is the safest way of sustaining myself in the US till i get a residency...as for my exact plans i am interseted in Psychiatry
so will be looking for programs whicjh will help me get some basic training in Psychiatry
and may some good reaseach opportuninty..ya alomng with the US clinical exp..

it's also an expensive and lengthy way to to sustain yourself, i look at it as a backup plan. Each person has his own views about this field.

it is a back up plan for me too guys.. i dont want to end up 27, 10 lacs poorer and not with a job or a residency..if u look at it this way i can say that the masters degree will be my insurance policy..

If you want to do MD in pharma, then you cant take GRE
, USMLE
is the exam you need to do.
Please google and find the program you need to apply to and see the admission requirments.
