Hello,
This is specially for the docs who have managed to get themselves to Australia
.
What are the medical checks you'll underwent in the process of applying for the visa to Aussie(emploter sponsored) ?
If any of you'll were from the asian sub-continent, did you require a HIV, Hep B & C check ? Chest X-ray?
I Would be glad to hear back from you'll.

Hi Gaffy,
Did ur employer apply for a visa on your behalf?? If they have done so, they will give u a unique number called TRN number. U can then complete the visa formalities online through department of immigration website using this TRN number.
As u progress through each stage online, u will have to give a number of supporting documents as supportive evidence like ur mbbs, MD(if any) certificates, Marriage certificate if any, digital photo of ur self and ur wife ( if u r including her in application). the more documents u can attach, the better.
Uwill have to attach passport copies of urself and ur wife( 1rst, 2nd and 3rd pages). So keep all this things ready in your computer. Take a photocopy of all these, get attested by any doctor with his seal( need not be a gazeted officer) and scan and keep in ur computer. take a digital photo of yours and ur wife and keep it in a CD or ur computer. U will have to attach all these.
next step is to pay the fee online using a credit card. once u have paid the fee, u can down load the health check up forms. You can access your application online anytime using the number which they give you. Down load the health check up form, fill ur part and attach photos. find out who is the Australian panel doctor near your town ( u can get the address in the Department of immigration, Australia
website). There are two health forms. One is general checkup and blood reports. the other is X ray form. Ur doctor will tell u where to get the Xray done. You will have to do HIV, HBSAG, HCV etc..
Cheers

Sometimes u will also have to do another medical check up for ur Australian hospital( Pre employement medical). That is different from VISA medical. Ur hospital will advice you regarding these. They will guide you in each step.
