I dont know exactly about the bond details in BMC, but came across this notification on their site, at the bottom: rguhs.ac.in
Quite alarming. I have already joined BMC, and found this now. Is this part of a Bond to increase the total term of PG study itself to 6 years. ?And I understand they ask for surety from a Govt servant for the Bond.. how and where do you get this? Pl. somenone already in PG reply
thankx

It has been observed that there are many students pursuing the course either at UG or PG Level, since the inception of the University. Thanks for this , but I think it is optional... In brochure of KCET 2008 I remember reading something like "if govt makes it nesessary our course will be extended..".Do you mean to say private seats donot hav that bond?I think it is also for consession seats in private colleges..

As far as I know, there are NO concession seats in Private colleges, even thro' KCET. The normal fees (in lakhs) is to be paid, but there is no bond. Also, the stipend is minimal, les than 4000/-
As for the notice I posted above, I think it applies to those students who are attempting finals from more than 4 to 5 years, some even from the inception of the college, as is apparent from the first para of the notice. I think they mean to restrict their attempts to double the no. of years of the course, and just not "unlimited attempts"
Any clarification re: bond co-signing by a Govt. servant? How much is the Bond for? And the cost of breaking the bond?

Yes the seats in private colleges through KCET and not COMED-K are so cld concession seats as mentioned in the brochure.I tnk u r dng PG in BMC right?I spoke to one of my senior who is doing MD -med in KIMS hubli... He says he has signed the bond for serving 3 yrs post MD under govt or pay fine of rs 5 lakh as an alternative...As per my calculation a minimum of 12 yrs has to be spent to land up smewhr in our field...But this dsn't apply for AIPGMEE seats in karnataka and COMED-K
