Excimer laser used in cornea , like -
1. Refractive keratoplasty performed on the cornea to correct refractive errors.
2. PHOTOREFRACTIVE KERATECTOMY
3. laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK)
4. ablate irregularities in the bare scleral surface after pterygium excision

However the only tenable choice seems to UVEITIS . Long-standing chronic iridocyclitis, especially in children, may result in calcific band keratopathy, the deposition of calcium hydroxyapatite in the cornea at the level of Bowman's membrane.Excimer laser phototherapeutic keratectomy is successful in the treatment of band keratopathy.
