Hi there,

Till date mci has not recommended for recognition of any of the pg courses offered by tribhuvan university through iom kathmandu. A team from iom kathmandu met health secretery, india in delhi in sep. 2007. Health secretery advised mci chairman to visit iom ,kathmandu and sort out the recogniton issue. but mci chairman never bothered to visit kathmandu. This clearly indicates that mci care a shit about ministry of health and has it's own ways of dealing recognition matters, i.e. by monetery ways only.Let's hope health minister's initiative for recognising pg degrees of 5 countries may extend to nepal also. In the light of above facts it highly in- advisable to take addmission at iom pg courses. Iom people are also not very keen on recognition issue.

I think its a very very bad idea to join IOM, Kathmandu, or for that matter any institution which is not recognised by MCI (Most Corrupted body of India).
