b.Meckel’s Diverticulum
c.Lymph node (Peyer’s patches)
d.Crohn’s disease

b.Osteoporosis
c.Muscle dystrophy
d.Congenital scoliosis
e.Vertebral necrosis
8.Coryza in a 3-week-old infant may lead to upper airway obstruction when the baby sleeps, but not when awake and crying because
.1) there is inflammation and edema of the larynx and trachea.
2) the extrathoracic trachea is floppy and collapses easily on quiet inspiration.
h 3) an infant is an obligate nose-breather.
i 4) the tongue falls back into the posterior oropharynx.
j 5) the tonsils become enlarged and obstruct the airflow in and out of the larynx
16. A 54-year-old woman sustained an anterior wall myocardial infarction complicated by pulmonary edema. She is symptomless at discharge from hospital 7 days later. Which one of the following treatments is INAPPROPRIATE?

Q1 I think that qn is incomplete, because it depends not only on CO concentration in the air but also time of exposure and following concentration of carboxyHb in blood.
as in this web-page:
Coma - if carboxyHb >70%
Headache - if carboxyHb 10-40%
CO does not have narcotic action
Q2: b Meckel`s diverticulum
Q3: again weird qn - might be trauma, if history is positive. But may be also Congenital sclerosis, as she has it.
So, if qn looks like this, i would choose
d.Congenital scoliosis
Q8: 3) an infant is an obligate nose-breather.
Q16:1) propranolol - B-adrenoblockers - routine use for 2 yrs after MI
2) captopril - ACEI's - decrease mortality, also in asymptomatic patients
3) acetylsalicylic acid - yes, reduces risk of recurrent MI, can be used also alternative antiplatelet agents (clopidogrel)
4) diltiazem - are not recommended for routine secondary prevention of MI
5)ISDN - nitrates - alleviate ischemia
(from Harrison's, 2005, and TN)
SO correct answer would be:
5) isosorbide dinitrate
