read ur scraps .. indeed thank u for clearin up the fog... but can u tell me.. is it advisable to take up pharmac thru comedk.. a private coll... right now i m in dilemma .. im in waitin list all india.. and in my state.. so was quite puzzled . if i take up in comedk would have to pay 1 lakh per yr .. = 3 lakhs.. if i dont like it have pay the full amount .. if i get some where else
so i have to be pretty sure bout join it ..

it was nice to get reply from u sir. i am a student of thawani sir and he does have a role in arousing my interest in pharmac. i shall also try to get in touch with pharmac residents of my college. its just tht one decision is gonna change whole life.so want to tread a bit cautiously.

I'm confused betweenMD Pathology and MD Pharmacology in mumbai. How is pharmac for girls, I mean , looking at the nature of the job, travelling to far off places? Somebody please reply...... hav to go for counselling soon...

Well.. Mine is a different situation.. I could get all the branches except radiology in my counselling but I opted for Psychiatry .. As I did not like conventional branches.. But I was frustrated with my decision..

In fact my nature is such I like 9 to 5 jobs.. Money matter less.. but after returning home, there should not be a tension in my mind.. More importantly, I always want to do multiple activities.. music, reading n writing, reiki, ayurved n homeopathy,... a lot.. n I don't feel in any clinical branch, I would be able to do those for at least 7 yrs.. even I continued my activities during MBBS.. But for PG in clinical branch, it is impossible..

So I am positively thinking for Pharmacology .. I can be satisfied with 30,000 per month.. But I can't stay alive without creativity..

Please help me.. Is it a good branch for me? job safety is there? should I go for it? what kind of residency is there? I don't think I'll have to be a slave to PG teacher as in other clinical branches.. n shall I be free at evening? Shall I have weekends n vacations during 1st yr residency?

Hi,my thinking is also similar to you.I also cant live without doing creational activites.But i will say if u r gettin all branches den u shud take skin,it serves all the purposes n u will never feel any regrets.
Its uses r: no emergency,no nt duty,just o.p.d. ,repo of a clinician,in later life much earning potential.rest u decide.
