Well TiNNI pls don't take things personally .Iam just trying to ans ur questions asked to gossip.Though my basics r not clear as stated previously by some of the pGTS yet with my limited basics I am trying to ans ur questions.

Exact time of vaccancy ---We all know since its been yrs last add for MES was published so I think IT will be difficult to get in MES as already there r large Number of people standing in the que(And people with good political catch will be getting the preferance--telling from the experience of recent PSC selection)

Well days r cahnging nowadays.People r becoming very much aware nowadays coz of this media and intenet stiff. So it will be hard to practise cardiology with pharma degree .Some of ur collegues who with a Degree in Medicine or even DM cardiology may just spoil ur reputation by telling ur patiensts oH that lady is such and such .How can She know abt cardiology.2ndndly if u don;t have a housestaff ship in Medicine or cARdiology then its really difficult to practice with only theoritical knowledge though u may know better aboout the drugs than a cardiologist.

And lastly yes there is offcourse chance of teaching in Private colleges.Though at present Kolkata is having only two such colleges on the verge of opening ,outside bengal scope is really good. But again this is a game of demand and supply. Supply is even much less in the field of Anatomy , Biochem ,physio than pharma.
So if one thinks of teaching option its better to go for those subjects where supply is much lesser.

this message for those who really wanna make into the pharma corporate industry...
just click into any job sites like monster, naukri and put the key words like..medical writer, clinical research co-coordinator, medico marketing...pharmacovigilance...etc...u will get to see the job openings...
if u really wanna know where u stand after 7-10 yrs of experience just put the word medical adviser...most of u will be astonished to see the pay role mentioned over there..
try out of ur own rather than engaging into arguments with each other in order to establish every point.. icon_razz.gif
and more over no where it is mentioned in the job portals MD pharma from where??
if u can satisfy the interviewers with ur knowledge u r bound to be selected...
its very open and transparent..
atleast i hav dat experience while i got selected for 4 companies in the initial rounds of interview as a mbbs...

i have joined md pharma in delhi this yr..
u can join industry as a mbbs also..
but when a senior managerial post will be considered 5 yrs down the line then a md pharma will be preferred ovr a mbbs..
for jobs in IT companies ur mbbs degree will suffice but if u really wanna make into the core pharma sector doing md phrma is a rule..
