Hi Cessna , marks are an outcome of many factors viz a viz your conceptual approach, effective hard work , practice of test-techniques, dexterity in high yield material etc etc.I guess it is dfficult to quantitate the exact figure this way based on books/ study material.Though Kaplan/UW/NBME wud be a help to assess how close or far u r to the destination.NBME wud be able to predict a rough analogue of your score in final test.Write NBME before writing MLE.

I salute to Siyaa and AshB both for shedding good light on the subject and remain thankful for that. Now I can have a fair idea of what the exam is about.
Actually the problem is that I being a fatherly graduate of almost ten years past graduation and to add a non practising one have developed some dull reflexes and have forgotten if i ever studied medicine. So I have to start from scrap and i understand what it means.

Hi everyone, im currently preparing for step 2 ck and im doing the kaplan theory books intensively and plan to subscribe to UW and NBME later. I wonder if listening to the kaplan cds would be necessary coz i find them very time-consuming. If ever listening to them would not be that necessary, im planning to skip them. Please share me your ideas about this. Thank you very much!

In my opinion Vedios/Ausio just talk the same thing that is what sin Notes

So if it does not suit your style you can skip them . No problem

Although I knoew many people who prefer listening then reading so that might be good for them

Other wise when you Join UW you will get to know the level of your prep when you do questions there

So all in all what I thinkis if you dont like Audio ...just skip it ..
