who has more chances of getting residency - one who passed st-1 in first attempt with score around 80/81 & the other who got failed in first attempt & then clear it in second attempt with score around 90/91 or above.please answer ash- b or anybody.

Hi.....
I think those residency chances u r asking about depend on many factors beside the score and number of attempts;such as Clinical experience,Visa stauts,contacts...And I think that point has been discussed many times in more than one thread,plz try to look there.

thanks for your reply dr_aam
yes u r right many factors r there in mle but i have been told by a fiend that most of the programmes want all the steps cleared in first attempt thats why i m asking this question.
lesser the number of programmes u can apply for, lesser the chances of getting residency.

where r u ash b? if all other factors r same , same scores in st 2, cs cleared , st 3 cleared with same score, same clinical exp then who will get preference?somebody answer it.

I`d like to add another point.......
It differs from a program to another.some programs prefer 1st attempt with high 90+ scores..Others dont care;just require to pass.

thanks dr-aam i think u r right, in this condition contacts will work. actually i m prep for st 1 for long almost 1 year i m scared if i get failed or get low scores wht will happen , about low scores its ok other factors can compensate.thanks again.
