Quick Scroll fight against injustice of seat distribution 04.10.08 (9 months ago) #11

guys, something needs to be done. in the prospectus for preference form filling dmer has not mentioned clearly about the fate of non-recognised seats. what they say is- these seats will be taken for counselling only if state govt. gives permission for it. but there is no definete thought about it in prospectus as to- which round will those seats be included, whether students who get some seat in first round( which of course will be a recognised one!) will be elligeble and called for counselling for these seats. just becoz colleges like kem, j.j. , etc hav not bothered to get their seats recognised in last 40-50yrs, we hav to suffer.

i think there will be a shortage ofresidents insmaller colleges like miraj. now seats f0r DNB in Maharashtra are more than that of m.d or m.s.
If they can increase seats for DNB why not for us

the fact remains that the govt can always fill vacant RMO posts by ppl doing plain posts..they want resident doctors not student resident doctors..since getting a seat thru cet is so difficult there will be no dearth of ppl willing to do plain posts anywhere...to govt ko to fayada hi hai na..now de get residents but are not under any obligation to formally teach...a hospital never shuts down bcoz of lack of residents...

Has anyone wondered how dmer would fill up the non-rec seats in subsequent rounds? As per the brochure, our preferences in the pref form that we give in the first round will be considered for the subsequent rounds. But the codes for non-rec seats are not mentioned so we won't be able to fill them in our pref forms. so how is it going to happen? Did anyone happen to ask dmer?

We need to ask the DMER about its modus operandi in regards to MCI non recognised seats.Becuase the brochure does not mention the subject and college codes of these disputed seats.
If we can not opt for these seats now during preference form filling how these seats can be made available to us whenver these seats are included for the second round.Essentially the prefrence form filled during the First round is basis for all subsequent rounds except the final round which is always open round .
