Hi dr_firaz,

Thanks for ur enquiry, IOM P. G degrees r not recognised by MCI till date. MCI inspected 6 depts. in may 2006 due to pressure of delhi high court due to a case filed by us. MCI didnt gave satisfactory reports as it seems they want financial obligation from IOM nepal. In abscence of mci recognition it is not at all advisable to take addmission in pg courses and waste u r valuable time and money. (fee is us dollor 4500 / year). Also there is a highly anti india emotion among kathmandu people, even after every possible support from indin govt. to nepal.

Hope this information is of some use to u ,always feel free to write me

Thanks a lot for answering my queries. Hope the MCI recognises the IOM soon. Any news of the screening exam for the foreign PG holders?

Regards,

You can practise even CT surgery after your MBBS, you are eligible. But untill and unless you have an MCI recognised specialist degree you can't practise that speciality legally.
