trisomies have low AFP
multiple gestation has high MSAFP
open neural tube defects
tracheoesophageal fistula is ass with polyhydramnios.......but is AFP elevated there too?

hi ruchi,
here ans. should be d. tracheoesophageal fistula .
In NTD's and multiple pregnancy-AFP increases
while it is low in autosomal aneuploidy(down syndrome;trisomy-18) and
over estimated gestation

me too thinks that the answer should be tracheoesophageal fistula.
spina bifida occulta is a closed ntd, but afp levels are raised , though not too much.
more opinions are invited.
