After Madame Tussauds, Shah Rukh's wax statue in Paris.

Mumbai, March 7 (IANS) Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has more reason to smile - he will have a second wax look alike coming up in the West, this time in France.

Barely a year after his wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds, London, Paris's Grevin wax museum will present King Khan's wax statue next month.

This will make Shah Rukh the second Indian celebrity after Mahatma Gandhi to have a wax statue in Grevin and the first Bollywood star to have two wax statues in the two most prestigious wax museums worldwide.

Stating this in Mumbai Friday, Grevin's marketing director Frederic Gouguidis said that this was the outcome of its exclusive partnership with the travel major, Cox and Kings, in the Indian market.

Khan is extremely popular in France with a huge fan following and the wax statue would give Indians another reason to travel to that country, he added.

Paris Convention & Visitors Bureau managing director Paul Roll said that Paris is a hot destination among Indian tourists. "Last year, over 300,000 Indians visited France, the second largest number after China," Roll said.

A 19th century French journalist Arthur Meyer conceived Grevin's wax museum. He collaborated with Alfred Grevin, a cartoonist, sculptor and costume designer to work on the project.

When the wax museum doors were finally thrown open to the public in June 1882, it was a grand success.

Some of the wax statues in the Grevin collection include Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Pope John Paul-II, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.

Nadiadwala takes Akshay Kumar to Hollywood.

Mumbai, (IANS) After doing back-to-back comedies last year, it looks like Bollywood's star Akshay Kumar is hell bent on making 2008 his year of actioners.

In producer Sajid Nadiadwala's "Kambakth Ishq", he plays a Hollywood stuntman and it will be shot in Universal Studios.

"This would be the first Indian film to be shot within Universal Studios. We've got the permission not only to shoot within the studio but also to use their logo. Akshay plays a stuntman from Universal Studios. We also had amazing superstars from Hollywood. We're working out the legal aspects," Nadiadwala told IANS.

Apart from that, Akshay will be seen in Nikhil Advani's full on action flick "Chandni Chowk to China".

"Kambakth Ishq" is to be shot in Hollywood, Los Angeles, and the producer has roped in a new director Sabir Khan to helm the film.

"It'll also star 12-15 leading actors from Hollywood in various parts. It's a candyfloss, 'safe' film. We had to bring in an extra gloss in the backdrop. That's why Hollywood.

Pooja Bhatt takes on Raigad's cops for failing to nab culprits .

By Bollywood Hungama News Network

If you thought that Women's Day was over, then you better think again, for the 'Brand Ambassador' of women power- Pooja Bhatt- is leaving no stone unturned in taking the Raigad cops head on.

She vocally criticized the Raigad cops for failing to nab the culprits, who on Saturday, had hit two nuns on their private parts and attempted to strip them in Alibaug. And the adivasi women who had tried to save them were also attacked. The mob reasoned the attack by saying that hat the nuns was influencing the adivasis to turn to their faith.

Pooja backed these nuns saying that she has personally seen them build 200 homes for adivasis with proper sanitation and that she had personally spoken to the adivasis about them being influenced into Christianity and the tribals denied such charges. She also elucidated that she was against forcible or induced conversion, by giving her own family background as an example.

Rakesh Roshan on plagiarism charge.
Mumbai, (IANS) "Krazzy 4" producer Rakesh Roshan says that his conscience is clear on the allegation of plagiarism levelled by jingle composer Ram Sampath on a song from the movie. He said he has paid Rs.20 million to Sampath to include the song in the film that released Friday.

Roshan says that it was only towards the end of March that he learnt that the tune for which he was dragged to court belongs to Sampath and not Sony-Ericsson.

"We took a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Sony-Ericsson and they gave me a letter of consent. I went about this the right way.

"My conscience is clear. Towards the end of March I was told the tune belongs to Ram Sampath and not Sony-Ericsson. Not in my wildest dreams could I doubt the company's intentions," Roshan told IANS.

After London, Durban, Anupam's next destination is US!

Mumbai, April 4 (IANS) Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is literally going places - setting up acting schools in London and Durban. He now plans to open a branch in the US.

"We've completed all the formalities. The school in London will start some time in June, while the one in Durban takes off in August 2008," Anupam told IANS.

"In 2007, I started new branches of my school in Chandigarh and Ahmedabad. What started as a very small and sincere effort to share my acting skills with newcomers has now spread to three continents. For our acting school, the proudest achievement in 2007 was Deepika Padukone. Yes, she's our product," added the actor Anupam, who was trained at the National School of Drama in Delhi.

The "Saransh" star is the only actor in the world with acting schools in Asia, Europe and South Africa.

From Ang Lee's "Lust, Caution" to lead India, 2007 has been an extraordinary of triumphs for the actor.

"Yes, when I look back on the year I do feel a great sense of satisfaction. I did quite a large number of films, good and not-so-good! In addition I went to Israel to do the commentary in a six-dimensional film on India and its culture, and then I gave my voice to an international animation film, in which I played an Indian horse.

"But I guess my biggest achievement is my acting school. I'm very proud of our students. The one in Mumbai is so successful that we've to take two batches of students instead one this year."
