Quick Scroll What to do after DNB Theory ? 03.07.08 (4 months ago) #1

Hey guys and gals ! Take this matter seriously . The secondary candidates atleast have their Diploma degrees with them on which basis they can practice in their respective faculties . What about the Primary candidates . They are nowhere once they have completed DNB training and not cleared their Theory . Its really a matter of frustration for them . WHat are the options that are available after DNB Theory . Can such person practice in their respective field .
Opinions are open for everyone . No restrictions

the best option is to pass ur DNB cos even though doing ur DNB course is consideered as work experience, it cannot be equivalent to having a degree/diploma in the subject.

Quick Scroll What To Do After DNB Theory ? 04.01.08 (3 months ago) #5

Hi Radhika , Thanks for the reply . But its really a great frustration as you land up nowhere after doing 3 years DNB training if we dont clear our theory exams . Can you suggest any options as to what can be done in such situation , b'coz this is a problem of almost every PG in the DNB course . Do reply .

hi ashoonikh .. i know its tough for primary candidates .. most hospitals will consider your work experience and give you a post in the speciality .. but to move up in the carreer ladder you hav to get your degree .. hence my suggestion is to work for some time in your specialty, continue reading and when it gets closer to the exam, study full time .. i know its tough to clear DNB but not impossible .. i know ppl who have been out of touch for years and prepared for one year and passed DNB ..

Any person having M.B.B.S degree(and registered under M.C.I) can practice in any speciality provided they have the necessary skill/training. After completion of DNB 3 year training, primary candidates can practice in his speciality.

DNB board shouid make a rule that this training be allowed to join in other hospital or yr own institute as a junior resident. Otherwise many people will be a victim of the situation.
