Review of Pharmacology by pulse publications is a very good book. it covers theory also, so that we can study antegrade. few chapters like drug of choice, new drugs and recent topics are too good. overall it is too good book for Pharmacology that you don't require to touch other books for this subject

wil surely update this page as n wen i get info..
from wat i hav gathered now..

1.there are few things abt which u need to know everything and abt hte rest of the things u need to know something..
how to identify them????
well this can be done only by...
first reading a topic fully...then working relevant mcq from any of the mcq question banks(im using pulse aaa) and back refering and marking the areas from which these questions hav been asked and concentrating on these areas during ur 2nd reading..

2.the key is not knowing everything its knowing whatever you know properly..PREPARE TOPICS NOT CHAPTERS...(eg in cell injury chapter in robins the areas frm which questions come are necrosis and apoptosis know them in detail..rest of the chapter if u hav only a rough idea its enough)

3 as far as possible read standard books (i had to start reading physio n anat n biochem all over again due to my dismal record in 1st yr)

4.rather than reading multiple books for the same topic pick a book and stick to it...try and read it over and over as many times as possible rather than reading diff books..

well for ppl lik us we dont hav much of an option since v din read it b4 v hav to now...
i feel u should use a two pronged approcah..
if u hav no idea abt the topic read a descriptive book(eg. guyton for physio) for the topics u hav a good idea of read books which giv you more facts(eg. ganong) there is no choice these books hav tobe read for a good base.. moreover once u hav cleared 5th sem reading guyton will not be as difficult as it was reading it in 1st yr...
as for anat... again as i mentioned above read gray's students edition for understanding concepts and chaurasia for facts..
for biochem read lippincot for the concept and harper for the facts..
