This individual must know the following:

1. There is no safe amount or safe time to drink alcohol during pregnancy.

2. If you drink while pregnant, you are at risk of giving birth to a baby with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.

3. May sure she understands what FASD is:
"It c/o a range of disabilities (physical, social and mental) that affect people whose mothers drank alcohol while pregnant."

4. Binge drinking is especially harmful for a developing baby.

5. The bottom line is that no alcohol is the best and safest choice for having a healthy baby.

6. Offer support in helping this woman quit using alcohol....she must also try and encourage her family and partner to help her.

7. If she asks what typ of alcohol should she avoid....the answer is obviously 'everything, all of it, none of it is safe.'
