Exam is conducted in English. Problem comes when you have to communicate with patients. You will talk in english then it will be translted to local language then patient will follow it. Definitely wasting time. Though history taking station and communication stations are conducted in English as there r usually actors. There is one examiner who is indian the other one is British. Course which is conducted in Chennai can be searched on internet. I dont how cost effective it is.

Regarding preparation of PACES, it needs practice of clinical skills/methods, seeing as many cases as possible, interpreting the signs rightly and reaching a differential. Then you should know main investigations and a plan of management. Dont need to study too many books. TEXT BOOK for PACES is Ryeder Mir.

One of my consultants says that it is better to appear in UK. He has himself passed in UK but he was UK trainee. Time is fixed. They wont give u extra time (Better confirm from Royal College). You will easily find site if you search on any search engine by name of PACES course in Chennai. I think you should go for Chennai. Cases will be from local setup. You will be more familiar with them. Probably communication station will also be easier than UK.
