Quick Scroll no interest in mbbs- davidson in final year 05.08.08 (8 days ago) #11

Yes you can finish Davidson "for" the final year. You cannot finish Davidson "in" the final year. What I am trying to tell you is that as a subject "Medicine" is vast and never ending. Hence to actually "finish" any book is impossible. But yes You can finish all the important topics which a student is expected to know for his MBBS exam by going through a book like Davidson. I suggest you note down a couple of topics initially. Then go through Davidson and an Indian book like
Golwalla. See where your comfort zone is. In any case certain topics like Tuberculosis will be better tackled in the Indian books.
Once you have found which book suits you better, prepare a list of all the common cases, topics that you will need to know for the final MBBS and do these thoroughly. ditto for surgery and Gyne/Obs .
Subsequently use your internship duration to review your objectives and goals.
Take it one step at a time and you will succeed
All the best
