Hi,

Can any one tell me is there any restriction on the passport validity period to get an work permit.

My passport is getting expired on June 30 th 2008. I have got an offer from an UK employer and I have submitted all the necessary documents along with my current passport copies.

I am waiting for my employer to file my case. I have asked with my employer if there would be any problem, when registering with less validity period of 2 months. They said it is okay to file.

But some how I remember reading a web site saying to get a work permit one should have atleast 3 months validity.

In this case what is the real requirement on the passport. Do I need to renew before going to the visa interview in case the validity need to be more than 3 months. Or there is no such restriction and can be renewed after visa approval.
