guys please put yourself in this situation, and stop the confusion, first she is not your patient, and even if she was you dont grab the phone and call her, not anywhere in the world have you seen doctors calling the other persons thats being threatened NOOOOO
so you call the police first, and let them deal with thte situaltion, you did your part, and the case is with them now.

even if you called her they might end up killing eachothers and you ll end up being involved and the police will ask why didnt you call the polics, ????

all depends on how the question comes up in exam, its gonna be lengthy, and confusing for sure, but if they ask what is the first you do, ok fine convince him, but here they say he is determined , he has a plan already, he knows what hes gonna do, and in such situations i cannot assume i have persuaded him, he is already threatening , i have to take the matter seriously.

Actually the answer is A).
Confidentiality principle is disrupted if there be an public safety problem. The doctor should inform the police and make them prevent further danger of homicide.

In fact, i had similar question which was taken from a reference but there were choice put together that choice had (tell the wife and police) as one choice and the answer was tell the wife and police together but here in this question sperate police and wife in 2choices. I hope the question posted correctly as should be together not come in sperate choice or come either one which mean either tell the wife or tell the police. so the answerit is definte choice B or choice A. Amd because of criminal record with this patient i go with you Dr arloshi tell police first
