Even though new test detects diseases better and possibly earlier, it doesn't influence the total number of diseases itself. PPV and NPV directly influnced right now, survival rate will be increased debt to the early detection. prevalence may be increased at the time of the use of new technique. Incidence of the disease is same whatever detection method newly appeared because the total diseases count is constant provided that any other disease creating factor(s) is(are) newly appeared.
