the SC order reads tht the states can extend the 2nd round, n complete it by 10th June.. n since 2nd round is conducted after seats are returned frm AIPGE , it is unlikely tht 2nd counseling wud b held b4 AIPGE extended 2nd round..

i calld up dmer n dey said acc sc order pgmcet 2nd rnd will take plc in 1st wk of june i.e. aftr AIPGE extnd rnd.and those takin seat outside Maharashtra need not leave it 2 b eligible 4 state 2nd rnd.but if ur seat is from maha,u will hav 2 leave it b4 d rnd starts.

hey i went 2 dmer n askd.. dy said, tis ws d rule last yr, bt dis yr u cn attnd 2nd round witout surrendering OUTSIDE MH seat.. bt MH seat u hv 2 surrender..

New Rule: BOND – Maharashtra P.G. Rs. 15 Lakhs.

Dr. W.B. Tayde, Director DMER told Times of India (Dated: 14-05-08) as follows:

1. Bond for Post Graduate Medical Students from this year is Rs. 15 Lakhs (Rs. Fifteen Lakhs) or serve one year rural (village) service.

2. Local collector will be appointed to recover the amount of Rs. 15 Lakhs from the Doctors.

3. Super specialty courses will have to serve a two (2) year rural (village) bond or a penalty of Rs. 25 Lakhs (Rs. Twenty five Lakhs).

4. Rules have been made more stringent as “Medical Officership” is necessary due to outbreak of diseases in villages.

Hence, be better informed before taking Maharashtra P.G. Admission.

Above rules are applicable, whether you take admission in Maharashtra , through All India (AIPGE ) or DMER.
