Mini,
Wat I have heard is if you do ur internship from on of the SARC countries then you do not need to take the internship in India again. You can directly apply for the permanent registration. U should certainly get it confirmed from the council.

SAARC is South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation: Member countries India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan and now Afganistan too I think.
Vampire unfrtunately it is not possible to do partial internship. You ought to finish 1 year of compulsory internship in India. The USA has its own rules...they consider candidates for residencies once they clear all 3 steps of USMLE .

Welcome Mini,
MCI recognizes the PG degree from abroad..but again to practice in India you would need to get a registration..so either now or later u will have to do 1 year of internship. If u are pursuing higher studies abroad then may be u can attempt for the medical practising exam of that country.
