Medical courses
Post Graduate Degree Programs
1) one-year programme-Internship (known as " internatura"in Russian) or
2) two- to three-year programme-MD/MS/MDS (known as "ordinatura"in Russian).
Preparatory Faculty-3 to 4 months for postgraduate students.
Training in the internatura or the ordinatura takes place on the premises of the best hospitals, clinics, and research medical institutes. Graduates who complete internatura or ordinatura are awarded certificates that specify their specialization areas and entitle them to exercise their professions independently.
Postgraduate Doctoral Programs
The advanced scientific degrees in Russia
include Doctor's degrees of two levels: the Candidate of Sciences (Kandidat Nauk/Ph.D) and the Doctor of Sciences (Doctor Nauk/D.Sc). The Candidate of Sciences degree normally requires at least three years of study after the award of the graduate medical degree. The Doctor of Sciences degree can be earned after a period of further study following the award of the Candidate of Sciences degree. In reality, to earn a Doctor of Sciences degree requires five years beyond the award of the Candidate of Sciences degree.
Both university level higher education establishments and research institutions have the right to set up doctoral study programs Two national bodies, the Ministry of Education and the Russian Academy of Sciences are responsible for supervision of doctoral studies in higher education establishments and research institutions, respectively. Upon the decision of these two bodies, doctoral study programs (aspirantura - for the Candidate of Sciences degree and doctorantura - for the Doctor of Sciences degree) can be given sanction in those higher education establishments and research institutions that possess the required personnel as well as scientific and financial resources.
The presentation of doctoral dissertation is carried out before a Dissertation Council. Dissertation Councils are organized by the Supreme Certifying Committee (Vysshij Attestatsionney Komitet, VAK) of the Russian Federation to accept dissertations in
given fields of science for presentation in accredited Higher education and research institutions.
Information for Postgraduate Students
The postgraduate student’s work involves day to day interaction with Russian patients who do not speak English. That’s why Euromedicos advises you to enroll for PG course in Russian. It will not only save your money(less tuition fees) but you will get the best available training. Some universities have recently started PG courses in English, its up to you to decide.
Euromedicos guarantees your admission in the best medical institutes/universities in Russia
.
Preparatory Faculty(Russian language Course)-Foreign PG students undergo 3 to 6 months of Russian language training in the preparatory faculty. The language teachers speak English and are experienced in teaching Russian language to foreign doctors. Our experience shows that after 3 months of training 90% of foreign doctors are able to speak Russian quite fluently. Since doctors are involved in patient care, more emphasis is given to spoken Russian. After the completion of language course PG student starts clinical rotations in hospitals. One tutor and a professor is appointed for his PG program. Their role is to arrange clinical rotations and make sure that PG student gets the best training tailored to his individual needs.
The medical universities offer postgraduate courses in 57 specialties-
You can enroll in any of the following postgraduate degree programs
1) 2 Yr program Ordinatura(M.D/M.S/M.D.S)
2) 3-4 Yr programme-Aspirantura(Ph.D.)
.
Advantages of doing PG in Russia

hi rachit ,
i will tell u some real fact -
i was preparing for screening test last year in DELHI , i came to meet many students from CIS and RUSSIAN FEDERATION there out . people
with different set up of medical knowledge . some of them had 1st studied in CIS countries like KAZHAKISTAN , KYRGHISTAN etc .....
and latter shifted to BIG universities in RUSSIAN FEDERATION as
they told me and many of my collegues that they had taken transfer as
they wanted to study in a better place than these CIS countries .
some of them filled the forms of screening test with us , they had
no problem and MCI didnt do any thing to them and some of them
even passed the screening test in march 2007 .
MCI wants u to pass the screening test and that u should have completed ur medical degree in six years time(6+1) .so , go ahead and take a trasfer if u want and study at a good place where u can learn something and start studying for screening test from beginning , i mean start from your university days and start from today itself.
i hope this information may help u nd u can still confirm it from
other sources !!!
