Hi aap,
thanks for replying...if ur staying in Canada then ABMM will be of value ,in india Md micro is fine.regarding the requirements they prefer Phds which doesnt make sense to me at all.you think a Phd guy know about one bug will be better that ur Md micro guys...i dont think so.whats ur view on this.I have also been certified in infection control fro the US.Please let me know some good websites for micro Mcqs.good luck for ur Part 2.thanks bye

Thank you titanic for the response....true MD micro is good enuf in india,I have consolidated on it with a DNB as well. Indeed prefrring Phds doesnt make sense but they want technicians not clinical microbiologists maybe thats why the preference.
I am sorry I dont yet know about mcq websites but if ever know will let u know. Thanks for the best wishes for partII but I am not pursuing it as I will not be able to go to UK to pursue it.

Hello aap,
How are you?
Still looking out for some better options after MD micro. I too have surfed a lot on this issue. I think one can appear for ABMM after MD micro. But whats the use? Will you be able to work in US after that? Is there any other advantage of it? What about canadian Microbiology exams. Did you get any further information on that.
What about infection control courses?
Do you know of any institutes which offer DNB in infectious diseases? Hinduja hospital in mumbai was likely to start it. Have they started it?
If you get to know of any furhter useful and good courses please let me know too.
