Hello everyone
I have a few MP3s which are very low volume
Even if I turn the speaker volume to the max and comp volume to max, the MP3s play very low volume

is there a software which can alter MP3 files intinsically to sound louder?

Hello Astralboy,
You can use the free software named "Mp3Gain" for the same.
Mp3Gain can change the loudness levels of mp3 to any level.
The most precious use of this software is that, it can adjust all the mp3 files in ur pc to have the same volume.

You can download Mp3Gain from here,
Only RxPG members can see links here! Register or Sign In!

Download the exe file named "mp3gain-win-1_2_5.exe"
Install it into your pc.

icon_arrow.gif Run the program,
icon_arrow.gif Click the Add File or Add Folder button to add a file or a folder.

icon_arrow.gif Press Track Analysis button to analyze the loudness of the mp3 files.

icon_arrow.gif Press "Track Gain" to set the loudness of all the files to the desired Decibels.
Normally 89dB would be the one pleasant to the ears.
You can change the loudness to whatever level you want.
All the best.

My Pleasure Swaroop.
Mp3Gain is a very handy software, just give it some 15-30 minutes and it can set the volume of 1000s of mp3 to the same level!
So we wont ever need to wrestle with the volume button when the song changes. icon_smile.gif
Pls do feel free to ask whenever you come up with such tech related problems.
Take Care.

I have used vlc for the same. Of course, it is not available in the gui version. I use commandline option to set the volume manually. But this is not so easy and for windows users I feel BGM's suggestion works better.
