hi . m omer .i am interested to settle in Canada ,being a doctor..now i m studing in 3rd year of MBBS . i wanna ask whether USMLE is enough for emigration to Canada or some tests are to be passed for residency overthere. .. plz guide me.

I reside in Canada and am an IMG myself.
Kindly do not think me rude but the one advice I can give you is that getting into the Canadian medical system for IMGs is not easy. Your degree is not recognised and you will not have a job or get into the residency training.

Please read thro' the previous topics in the Canada forum.

Websites that may be helpful - mcc.ca, college of physicians and surgeons (which ever province you are interested in).

YOu guys are yet to complete MBBS. Prepare well and work hard and complete it first.

hey buddy , im planning to go either to USA or Canad , what do you think regarding job prospect in Canada , is it really bad and in what terms i mean like UK , how is the setup for application and processing for speciality there , could you help me understanding this , i will be grateful .

some one told me that first prepare for USMLE , clear exams and get resedency in usa, and then if you wish apply in Canada as USMLE is recognised there....
