Hello,
Thankyou for your post about nails. Have you any information about nails that curve inward toward the hyponychium? This patient nails curl like a cigar and ingrow at the distal groove. There is some crusty material present but there is no nail to cut and examine microscopically for fungus. So, no KOH has been done. Have you seen anything like this. All nails of hands and feet are affected, also the scalp. There is some sclerosis and tightening of the skin around the phlanges. The bottom of the feet are sheets of peeling skin. This is a flood victim. I am hearing that flood victims are beginning to have some interesting symptoms. Due to exposures to molds? I need to study up on the bottyrus (sp?) mold. Any ideas? or can you point me in a direction that may answer the question.
