First of all thank you very much for ur reply and ur time. You have no idea how long i have been waiting for somone to reply to my queries. I almost thought no one would , either bec nobody really knows anything about NZ or coz of the competition among IMGS..they wouldnt want one more rat in the race....woud they???..i believe the latter reason is true ...for reasons which i shall mention below . I did a lot of searching on the net the past one week , mailing different recruiting agencies and i have received mixed responses from some of them. I also found about how the system works within NZ regarding houseofficer ship position ..the ACE system ..similar to the ERAS of US ...it clearly mentions that IMGS will be considered only after NZ citizens and residents have filled all the vacancies and a vacant seat will be granted to an IMG only after no NZlander is available for the slot ......its pretty much clear that NZ dont like IMGS esp from india etc...one agency said that i was wasting my time applying to NZ ...they said i have ZEro percent chance of making it ....they had lot of imgs from last year who didnt make it thru their agency inspite of their support..they were also transparent enough to tell me that ...the NZ govt dont like Indian Imgs since a lot of them are around..and that there are a lot of docs from UK applying too...

Hi!! I am a doc from India. Done with my MD in Pediatrics last year. I have appeared IELTS followed by PLAB 1 in March 2004. According to self assessment question from site of NZ Med Council; i think i am elegible for registration.. so now how shud i proceed furher.. do u think i am elegible.. can i apply for jobs directly?..please guide me..

Hi Aucklander,

I am taking the NZREX Clinical on April 5th this year. I also got permission from the hospital here in Gisborne to do observership. Any tips on how I may make the most out of the observership so that it can benefit me well when I take the big exam in April? What material did you read? Thanks.

As long as you pass the USMLE Steps 1 2CK, there is no percentile cut off specified to be eligible for the NZREX

Hello !! this is parag. i've completed my post graduation from mumbai university india. i wanted to know if there are any good opportunities for nuclear meidcine/ radiology in nz. i mean what are the likely chance of me getting a good job there. if good, i'm thinking it as a long term career plan.. please advise....
