Quick Scroll Options after failure of USMLE CS 06.21.08 (6 months ago) #1

Calendar Event: June 21, 2008

Hi..
I am Dr Dayanand MBBS(2007) from India..
I have a score of 90 percentile in USMLE step 1.. But have failed Step 2 CS in 2 attempts(first time in Communication and interpersonal Skill and in second attempt data gathering).. am giving Ck this 26th.. can any one tell me what can I do next?
I am planning to give AMC (Australian Medical Council) MCQ exam and start working there till next year.. n try to give CS next year and apply for 2009 match..
Do u think its a good plan? I thought I ll be having experiance in an english speaking country( Australia ).. Do u people think this plan works out to get a place in Internal Medicine?..
Can any one suggest a better plan? or shall i go with this current plan?
I desperately want to go to US..
Please help me..
Thank you all in advance..

Dear Friens

It happens to many guys that they stuck with CS so I would advice you take some coaching for CS and then practice with your friends the cases and give it a shot !

Going to Aus is not bad plan but... very costly you will easily spend 2-3 lakhs in this plan and there is no assrance garauntee that you will will be get job there

My advice is to concentrate on your main goal that is US residency and try to pass CS and then spend time in US for Observership or something like that as US experience would be much better that AUS

I hope it helps in your decision
