well the best answer is helicobacter pylori..
but chronis and recurrent ulcer are also caused by gastrinoma,s a malignancy of gi tract as in zollinger ellison syndrome so it can also be the answer here..
thirdly ciggrate smoking is also highly related with the chronic ulcers as if u won't stop smoking the etiological agent is not removed and u may get a chronic ulcer(smoking has some conc. of toxins nd nitrates which inreases the chance of peptic ulcer)..
so smoking is also correct..
no doubts single best ans. is h.pylori...

Hi all. My name is Russ and I am writing to see if anyone out there can help me with information. Due to an error in surgery I have had two meters of my large bowel removed and half of my small bowel also removed including at least my illium.
So, now I am on the most obtrucive diet I have ever heard of, including "NO ALCOHOL" my personal favourite (not).
This all happened this June and I am having trouble obtaining information of diet and generally how to live - as there must be more!
Hoping for some form of assistence,

Russ.........................................
