Hi, I a middle-aged GP from Britain who is planning to take QE1 in the Autumn. I passed the EE recently and have 4 months to prepare.
It is good to find a forum that is so helpful, supportive and full of useful advice and I'm looking forward to spending some time in here to assist with my studies.

Hi klaus
if you are already certified as GP in UK, I donot think you would need the MCC exams. Just check with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
and the licensing authorities namely CPSO for Ontario and I think you might be eligible for practice right away.
Hope this helps

Thanks Ameer.
I am aware of that possibility but ultimately I will have to gain LMCC if I am to remain in Canada
. My home and work circumstances mean that I cannot leave the UK immediately so I may as well get on with taking the exams before I eventually emigrate. Having recently taken the EE, I thought it best to go to the next step whilst still in study mode.
It doesn't get any easier with age.

I do indeed. Looking forward to it.
Planning to come in October for QE1 - in Alberta, most likely. The venue, of course, depends on the whim of the MCC.
