Hi, I a middle-aged GP from Britain who is planning to take QE1 in the Autumn. I passed the EE recently and have 4 months to prepare.

It is good to find a forum that is so helpful, supportive and full of useful advice and I'm looking forward to spending some time in here to assist with my studies. icon_smile.gif

Hi klaus
if you are already certified as GP in UK, I donot think you would need the MCC exams. Just check with the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the licensing authorities namely CPSO for Ontario and I think you might be eligible for practice right away.
Hope this helps

Thanks Ameer.

I am aware of that possibility but ultimately I will have to gain LMCC if I am to remain in Canada . My home and work circumstances mean that I cannot leave the UK immediately so I may as well get on with taking the exams before I eventually emigrate. Having recently taken the EE, I thought it best to go to the next step whilst still in study mode.

It doesn't get any easier with age. icon_eek.gif

I do indeed. Looking forward to it.

Planning to come in October for QE1 - in Alberta, most likely. The venue, of course, depends on the whim of the MCC. icon_rolleyes.gif
