according to KDT 5TH EDITION,
PYRAZINAMIDE-it acts at acidic pH.
acts on slowly growing bacteria,which are located intracellularly(macrophages) and at the sites oe inflammation.b'coz at both these sites pH is acidic.
for slowly growing bacilli,
1)isoniazid,rifampin,ethambutol are less active.
2)streptomycin is inactive.


slowly growing bacilli are diffrrent than spurters as slowly growing bacilli are having long genertation time.
spurters are bacilli growing intermittently with occasional spurts of active metabolism.[/quote][/b]
