wat to do to make sure that one gets interview and residency,apart from USMLE scores there are some other things also to be considred,can anybody make it more clear plz.

I think it really depends on what u want..

If you are prepared to slog long hours for the exam, get lucky (or well prepared) for the visa, manage to score and tick boxes for residency applications and finally get the residency !!!, u would recieve one of the best training programs in the world..

and again, if u deciede to finish the residency and migrate again elsewhere u would be welcome in a lot of countries with one of the best qualifications in the world.

USMLE is not a palce for slogging, n nobody gets residency by just ticking the boxes. one has to be prepared mentally and physically, for all upcoming problems.

by slogging I meant studying long hours for the exam, which Im sure many of us do anyway towards preparation for any competitive exam or otherwise ,, and

by ticking boxes , I meant, ticking the right boxes for USCE, research, previous residency experience, good letters of support for the application, etc,, so

thats the meaning of my post..
