Hi everyone.
I`ve a doubt .
During ventricular systole , the pressure wave generated in aorta reaches the radial artery in 0.1 sec after the point of maximum pressure in aorta , in normal adult which we perceive as radial pulsation . This pressure wave has got nothing to do with blood flow to the radial artery(which is quite slower compared to pressure wave). Also during systole the aorta stretches n this results in its recoiling during diastole.
My doubt is- as aorta recoils during diastole, its gonna send a pressure wave again ( by the same principle with which pressure wave during systole is generated), So why don`t we feel second pulse (of diastole) within the same one cardiac cycle ?

With regards.
