did u get easily thru exservicemen quota or u got it thru some other enterance......pls elaborate which enterance u gave and did u get the speciality of ur choice or u made a compromise on the subject u chose-surgery
i mean is it easy to get the sub.of ur choice from the ex service quota?

i got through my state as well as army exam under ex-servicemen quota.though radiodiagnosis was the subject of my choice which i missed by one rank in army but i preferred to stay in my state due to family commitments and end up taking surgery through state entrance.

when i say that its not difficult to get pg through army it only means that its not as competitive as in the civil side.by ur normal studies u can get through,but u should study.

hey loney, good job.
i am joining indian army on 11 aug. my initial posting is in pune.
i want to know about accomodation at the time of field posting which i will be having within a few months. can i have accomodation for my family in nearby station while i am on field posting??
2 nd Q!! can i do MBA or other courses (correspondence courses) simultaneously or they will not allow..
3 rd Q-- what r the chances for PC.

congatulations on joining army.
where ever u will be u will be made comfortable.it might take initial few months to adjust but eventually u ll be enjoying.
u can do MBA through correspondance.
u can keep ur family to near by family station provided u have applied for the accommodation at that location.
dont worry,if u r bright then chances of getting PC r also bright.its not very difficyult for a person with common sense.

there is nothing big for applying in army.all u have to do is to look out for their ad in the newspaper.somewhere in the month of oct - nov they call for the candidates.application performa will be given along with the ad in the paper.as per the performa u ve to get a print out and send it to them.
after that they will call for the interview at delhi.there is no written exam.10 min interveiw will decide every thing.once u r selected u will have to under go medical exam.
after clearing medical fitness, u sit back and wait for their joining letter to come.

hi loney. i wud like 2 know that after how many years of working in ssc one becomes eligible 4 its pg courses its 5 yrs or 2 yrs and also what criterion do they follow to select candidates in interview and med exam
