well, my Situation is that I finished my internship at the end of 2006, and moved to Uk, then started preparing for IELTS
then pLaB1&pLAB2 which took me almost one and half Year to clear all these exams.During the preparation time I did some part timework to fund myself. Now, I have applied for Full registration on December 2008.it looks that I have been out of practice for almost 2 years. So l was sent a form by GMC to fill all the gaps, which I did. Is there anything I need to do to satisfy GMC. Any Suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thankyou.

Well, i am so sad today, i got the reply from GMC saying that they are unable to grant registration as my MBBS course started from sept2000 to July2005 which is 4 years 11 months but in my certificate its printed 5 years training,,,, i remember i had early graduation. I am so confused ...i wrote them that my course was 5 years though the dates don't match and advised them to contact my university...
what shall i do...
any suggestions
thanks

Usually we all started in Sep. and finished in Jul., so 5 years of training will be counted as 4 years and 11 months!? How GMC becomes so mean on this! Did they refuse your registration because of the "inconsistency" of the length of the training, or because the "4 years and 11 months" is less than required?

did you read the GMC website defining an 'accepatble primary medical qualification?'
It states that your degree should be in some special directory, but even if it is, it may not be acceptable which is confusing...but it states that at least 5500 hours of study during the MBBS course is needed for it to be acceptable = 4 years .
This is exactly what is said on the website...check it out.
Very confusing

thanks.... yes i did about acceptable PMQ in the GMC website before, well I had a 5 years MBBS study, a normal academic year starts from begining of september and ends at the end of july then we have about one and half months summer vacation, which is very CLEAR to understand.I called my University and they told me that if GMC inquries they are ready to answer regarding this.So i am just waiting for the GMC to asses my case...lets see,,
