Instead of doing unpaid clinical attachment, I registered myself with reed, medacs, id medical, PNR ambition 24 and job started literally pouring. They pay £21/hr. They asked me to start as aFY1 though I have full reg which was a wise decision. U actually come to know what u r not supposed to do and should do. When I asked few of my friends which post to apply for they advised any. But now from my experience I think rather than sending 50 applications on nhs jobs which I did, its better to approach agency who are ready with so many offers. Moreover no matter how much experience you have u must start as FY1 so that u dont let down yourself. My 4 wks experience of FY1 really helped me and now I think I would be able to apply for SHO.

reed agency is good they dont charge u for minor trainings whereas medacs ask for £ 15. ID medical does CRB free. PNR asks u to pay for CRB first then refund on your first appoinment. very good website to get all over uk agencies details
only problem I faced with agency registration is immunisation and references. for immunisation local nhs hospital occupational dept said would charge £ 20 per test, agency does help to get it done from Medilab in Manchester and charge £25 per test. They send you the pack home. Mumps measles nhs said they are no more doing as per current ruling. TB scar check GP is supposed to do but my GP who is an asian Tthought would help and guide, refused references didnt have any from back country as well so really manipulated
