I started my preparation in January. actually i am doing my p.g so not much time to prepare...
i must have studied for about 3 to 4 hours a day.
during the last one and half months i studied for about 8 or 9 hours, more time then as i had my general medicine posting...

I told you na, it is highly individualized. A friend of mine took 15 months for STEP 1 preparation, got a score of 99/238. Some took 18 months and got a score in early 80s. I would say that NBME is a very strong predictor of your score, take NBME and if you feel comfortable, go ahead with the exam.
