A little about myself. I am a US citizen currently living in Pakistan where I completed my Medical Education in 2002 having received an M.B.B.S degree. After graduation I took some time off and established a private business venture dealing with Health care, Real estate and Stock concerns. In 2006, after establishing the venture, I decided to resume my postgraduate medical education. I have been working in a tertiary care hospital in Pakistan for the last 3 years. My clinical experience has been quite diverse. I have done rotations in Critical Care Medicine (Nephrology, Cardiology and Internal Medicine) and Dermatology in which I have a particular interest.

Having obtained my basic medical education and training, I am interested in expanding and diversifying my career options. I'm interested in pursuing an MBA degree and maybe MPH or both, so I can enter the Health care, Pharmaceuticals or Biotechnology sector.

1- I want to know whether Im a suitable candidate for an MBA from USA?

2- I'm trying to see if I can get into a good program and want to know what admissions officers are looking for in an applicant?

3- What types of extracurricular or community activities are MBA admissions officers looking for?

4- How competitive is it to getting into a top ranking program granted that GMAT score are good?

I could really use some advise and would appreciate any help in this regard. Thanks.
