I am also going to buy Yanoff in few days. I have liked that book.
About Kanski i am undecided. I had baught the present edition few months back only. Now if there happens a great deal of change in the 6th edition there will be no way but to buy the 6th ed.

The newest edition of Kanski...6th to be precise is out!!!

I got the soft cover version at 3000(round figure).

Book is pretty heavy and double the pages as compared to the 5th...but the pictures seem very inviting!!!

Will post my review as soon as i finish it!!!!

I have bought both PG KHURANA optics and Anatomy .. as well as Parsons.
Both books are must have's for the exam as per my seniors.
But more than that....
Kanski is the most vital book!
U have to have it!
So take one book at a time..it wont pinch ur pocket!!!
