The best bet for you will be comprehensive fellowships at LVPEI Hyderabad. If not the LVPEI bhuwanseshwar is also quite good.

ive joined general ophthal fellowship in mumbai itself...not a famous institute but well renowned!!!one year duration....im not sure if it is good!!
do u think ii should go for hyderabad LVPEI???? or continue this fellowship?

General ophthal fellowship and comprehensive fellowships are two different things. The later runs for a whole three years where you have to start from the basics and work in every subspeciality. The last six months of the schedule is meant for the subspeciality of your choice and you are offered to work in that. This thing is the best bet for post diploma candidates however the duration of the course is a bit demanding. And about going to LVPEI, I know some people who have done DO, then MS and now they are doing comprehensive in LVPEI (as they did not get subspeciality fellowship there)! That explains everything.

definitely...
Many DOMS are doing well in mumbai with just fellowships under their badge......
Finally it is ur surgical experience,ur management capability and how u use ur clinical acumen is wat matters...

im still a long way ahead....
Fellowship yes....but still much much more...acads wise and work wise!!!!

I know LVPEI is really gud...but i dunno if i willl be able to manage 3 more years!!!!!
