Hi everybdy..,
Can someone tell me wht type of visa i need to apply now..,am fm India..,came here on PLAB -visit visa..,it is expiring on may 17th..,
i have a clinical attachment coming up for the 6 succeeding months atleast..,so if i show any purpose of stay will they extend my visa for a longer period?say if i show an attchmt on january will they extend it for 1yr for me?will i come under the "others"category in the flr (o)form?plz advice me ..,wht proof i need to show..,

Hi i think you should call the home office and find out. They will tell you more. But i think if you can show proof of doing an attachment, they will extend your visa, but your visa status will still be the same.

Dear Colleague

Complete the FLR(O) form and send it to the Home Office by the last week of April by special delivery. You dont have to show a clinical attachment but will not be given more than a 6 month extension. However, if this is the first time youre extending your visa here in the Uk then you will surely get an extension.

In order to demonstrate academic intention you can show attachments in May but dont try to show attachments in January as it would look very stupid.

Yes you should check the OTHERS section in the application form. In fact with your visa dates, it would make more sense to apply for the MRCP1 and use its admit card as a reason to be in the UK.

Make sure you have a sponsor guaranteeing your financial cover while youre here in the Uk. I dont think there should be any problem in your visa extension although theres been alot of hype going around about it.

Thanx4the info..,is there any chance by which i can get an extension for more than 6 months in 1 go?(i desperately want to save money!!)i am appearing for PLAB 2 on july 19th..,its my second time..,i appeared on 4th march and have posted my fate on tht day in PLAB 2 forum..,i thought if i get an visa extension using clinical attchmt or something..,i can work somewhere..,am desperately in need of money and can somebdy tell me if i can work somewhere?and if my visa allows tht?if not any way to change it?like enrolling in a Msc course or something?

dear i deparately need your help in visa extension.i have allready extended my visa for six month on the basis of PLAB 2.now i passed the exam with the blessing of Allah in second attempt
my visa is expired on 8th of may.can i able to extend my visa on clinical attachment or i have to go for an membership exam.i did not find any exam nearby for which i can deposit fee and get the admission letter.i need your help what i should i do. thank you bye
