My dear Himanshu,
Check your mailbox. It is full. I need to communicate with you, and the mail always returns, saying the mailbox is full. It was interesting talking to this precocious group, especially our good old Bruno. I am sure, he would one day be a great doctor. God bless all of you in the list!
P.S. Don't forget to give me more questions pertaining to Forensic
medicine and toxicology!
Regards
Anil

Hi,
this Q is straight forward
clause two Sec 320 I.P.C says Permanent privation of sight of either eye
The catch is If there had been no treatment this loss is permanent.
Permanence is irrespective of Medical intervention

I think the last clause " any hurt which endangers life.or which causes the victim to be in severe bodily apin .or unable to follow his ordinary pursuits for a period of 20 days" makes it a GRIEVOUS HURT
Cheers--

It is not grievous because only one eye developed opacity .it is only coincidence that the persons other eye is poor.opacity in one eye will not cause inability to do daily chores for 20days.I think its not grievous.

If the eye had not been treated, it would have amounted to permanent loss of vision..
Thats why its a grievious injury
