I think its D&C, considering teh age factor & as it has already been pointed out that the patient is a nullipara. So the endometrium has been continuously exposed to estrogen, coz the patient is a nullipara. Nulliparity has been mentioned as one of teh causes of CA endomet.

If teh patient has ca endomet...tehn te diagnossi an hence appropriate treatment is delayed for 6 months if we give a trial of OCPs. And if it just due to HPO axis dysfunction, then as someone already pointed out...D&c is therapeutic too.

any commments folks??

hi to all there!
Oral contarceptive pills are relatively contraindicated in women aging more than 35 years old (and if smokers then it is said that at the age of 30 years either stop the pill or quit smoking)

Another thing is that at the perimenopausal age (varies but usually ranges from 43-46 years old) risk of endometrial carcinoma is high and this rises even more if there is a history of polymenorrhea.

as far as i can guess the answer that should be Dilatation & Curettage followed by biopsy to rule out malignancy.

also there is a history of nulliparity which also increases the risk of endometrial carcinoma
