Abhishek --

For History I attended Chanakya at Mukhergee nagar, but would not advise you as the profs who taught me have left. No use in going to Chanakya. Try YD Mishra he is good for history (specially for the mains)

I AM ATTENDING A NIGHT(EVENING) COACHING AT JAMSHEDPUR FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS AND DOING THE BRILLIANT'S COACHING(CORRESPONDENCE) FOR IAS .IS IT VERY NECESSARY TO GO TO DELHI FOR THIS EXAM? OR WILL SELF STUDY DO.

Quick Scroll Class room coaching 06.16.04 (4 years ago) #9

Abhishek --

It is not a necessary to attend classes in Delhi, the only advantage is that you get that additional edge and a perspective of writing answers based upon previous years papers. Most of the classes themselves are not sure what to teach, but few of them are good. For ex- for GS mains, Vajiram and Ravi is the best, have been there personally, that makes a difference.

My suggestion will be to study on your own keeping your work schedule and as the exam approaches go for a crash course which is of 15 - 20 days. I am planning to adopt the same strategy as cannot move due to work committment in Bombay. If you want help on History and GS let me know.

Thanxx
