answer to question 2 is a.immediately.

reason is as bravo said if there is unilateral complete congenital cataract you have to operate immediately and anti amblyopia therapy has to be instituted with it.otherwise eye will be inhibited due to amblyopia. prognosis is not good if operation is delayed beyond 16 weeks.

in case of partial cataract you can go for conservative management of amblyopia first and then do surgery later.

answer to question 4 is a) Bilateral & recurrent

the discharge in seasonal allergic conjunctivitis which is same as venral conjunctivitis according to Parson is ropy.
disease is usually self limited though in a small percentage of cases indefinite recurrences may occur.
treatment- symptomatic-cold compress, antihistaminics, cold compress ,steroids, mast cell stabilizers.

however parson specifically mentions that steroid therapy should be of short duration and closely monitored as it may lead to bacterial or fungal superinfections which are potentially blinding conditions.so steroids per se dont appear to be out right main stay of treatment.

parson does not mention whether the condition is bilateral or unilateral.

however- samar k basak [essentials of Ophthalmology ] clearly mentions that the condition is bilateral and recurrent.

i think best answer is a) Bilateral & recurrent

say what bravo?
