Sir,

First of all please accept my heartiest congratulations for succeeding in the civil service exam. I hope that your determination to represent India as a diplomat will bring some things and openings.

Sir, I am also having Geography and Pshychology as my optionals in civil service exam.

Sir, I would like to have full guidance from you to succeed in the above said exam regarding, how to prepare for general studies, which books for general studies, for geography which books to be studied, and for psychology which books or notes to be studied.

Sir I have completed my B.H.M.S. and presently I am working because of some economic instability. Since second year of my B.H.M.S. I am having the goal to get through the exam to serve the people.

Sir, I require ur help to the extent u can.

Hi dear divesh,
well who told you medical sci is not a good optional, plz dont listen to hear and say
My frends Basant 2nd ranker , Gaurav 3rd ranker ,Saket 15th rank all had medical sci as their optionals All of them scored heavily in med sci.So no need to get into depression
For Psychology you will have to take guidance from mukul paathak(Vaji Ram And Ravi) in delhi
Psyhcology is different from Psychiatry as it studies human behavior in toto, where as Psychiatry is a specialised branch of medicine conentrating only on abnormal behaviour

Dear sir,
Am a doctor appearing for civil service exam. gave prelims and now
am preparing for mains. wanted to ask u few things:

1) How does one go about preparing for 2 markers for GS?

2) While reading magazines and newspaper what should one concentrate
on? should one make notes - for 2 markers as well as for long ans?

while trying to analyse info given in magazines and newspapers, if new
followup questions come to mind, where to look for them?

3) In psychology, I'm reading mukul pathak's notes. should i go through
all the textbook photocopied material that he gives. it seems 2 vast.
is that much needed?
