That is a good question. I am planning to take the MRCPath1 (med micro) next year having got an NTN. Whilst I have been given a list of textbooks to read - a question bank would be great. Please PM me if you have any ideas...

Hi! I have just now passed the part 1. The most basic books to be read thoroughly are the Greenwood and The Green Book, along with Shanson. For Mycology, I had gone through Jagdish Chander, which was too much for it. The clinical part of Virology is covered excellently in the Harrison's Infectious Disease section. For the Infection Control, the best and the most concised book is by Damani and there were maximum question from that book after the Greenwood.
After clearing the part one and with a total of 7 score in the IELTS , you can apply for exemption from the PLAB .
Good wishes.

Hi,
Is Douglas, Mandell and Benett warranted for the MRC exams? Is it not meant for the MD General medicine people? I think it contains less information for a microbiologist.
